Convert shareable links into downloadable links
Google Drive Downloader is a simple tool to convert Google Drive shareable links into downloadable links.
Important
- This tool only works for files that have the visibility set to "Anyone with the link." If it is set to "Restricted", then only users who are logged in and have been granted access can download the file (which probably defeats the purpose).
- You can only download files that are uploaded to Google Drive. Google documents Docs/Sheets/Slides created inside Google Drive cannot be downloaded.
- For large files, the direct link may first open a page saying that "Only files smaller than 100 MB can be scanned for viruses." That page will have a button to download the file.
